The Week of September 14th

September 14th, 2009
First three pictures by Maria

The following pictures were taken by various students. The words are written by Jordan. Maggie was blogmaster, but was not interested.

Goals meetings with Deb in which Deb and the students discuss what lessons they should be practicing, what lessons they would like to have, and goals they would like to work towards.

Spinning Felix's wool. About 5 minutes after this picture Harper spun her hair into her yarn. It was a little exciting trying to extricate it...

Finn reading to Ian, Niki, and Lincoln.

Two spiders we were observing right outside the classroom door. They were very high up and it was a bright sunny day. Getting a picture was difficult! Thanks Niki and Harper!

Gabriel pondering.

Experiments...

A bountiful harvest in just one day from Prairie Hill's own garden! It made a lovely vegetable salad.

This is a great time of year for biology lessons on stems, leaves, flowers, and seeds.

Kallyn and Maggie wrote their own recipes. Here they are attempting to follow their own directions.

Carding wool!
